I have been using tattoo illuminator now for close to 8 months and I won't work without one. I have like 10 different variations (constantly revising and improving on the idea and cosmetic appeal). It's now a universal attachment that you can mount to your coil machine, for both uv and standard ink tattooing.. I have close to 20 artists working with some of the first models and they love them although most people thought they were ugly as sin at first, their opinions quickly changed the 1st time they stepped on their foot pedal. I have now improved the design and light source and am now offering the brackets with both a UV and White L.E.D. lamps for $50.00/each + tax and s/h...You can go to my profile and read more or see the photo I posted. It's not up close because of copycat reasons (PATENT PENDING). There are numerous other benefits not mentioned: Elliminates having to constantly stop and readjust your light source (floor lamp) angle, twisting and turning and bending of you and your customer, to reduce the shadows cast from the use of overhead lighting or from floor lamp. This alone makes it worth it! It's amazing the 1st time you try it out, I felt like I had been tattooing with tinted glasses on before. The idea was 1st conceived for use with the UV blacklight invisible ink application, to eliminate the costly installation of a darkened area with blacklighting. After the initial application worked so well, and the position of the light source removed the possibility of any shadows, it wasn't long before fitting it with a standard white LED light for all tattoos was tried. Now I just simply refuse to work without one. It's light weight, and positioned so it acts as a counterbalance.
